Summer Training
During late July & August each team will have a number of sessions- dates and times to be confirmed next week.
We appreciate that many of you will have summer holidays and therefore summer training is not compulsory. Please do attend as many as possible to give us a head start with this season!
Expectations
Please be aware we aren’t intending to scare people with our attendance requirements. Our athletes need to understand that cheerleading is a demanding team sport that takes full commitment.
When accepting a place on a competition team, please consider the below:
-
Compulsory sessions must be attended at all times
-
Any absence must be communicated via email.
-
For planned absence (e.g. school parents evening, residential etc) this must be communicated at least 7 days in advance.
-
We understand there will be occasional absence due to severe illness (vomiting etc) and ask that this is communicated via email as soon as possible to allow coaches to amend session plans.
-
During the ‘red zone’ in the 3 weeks leading up to competition, any absence from training can result in an athlete being removed from the team.
-
All competitions listed above must be attended
-
Unexcused absence or failure to adhere to the above could result in expulsion from the squad without refund.
-
The following unexcused absences are non-negotiable and apply to all. One person’s absence affects an entire team negatively.
Unexcused absences:
-
Homework and exam revision
-
Holidays
-
Tiredness
-
Birthdays and parties
Aside from Team England, athletes may not be part of any other competitive cheer programme.
Unless you have discussed any issues with the club, athletes will not be able to compete if there is outstanding balance to be paid on your iclasspro account.

Red zone
Both sessions are compulsory in the 3 weeks leading up to competition.
Team whatsapp group
Each team has a WhatsApp group for parents (and athletes aged 13+) to join. Coaches will post videos and information there and it’s a great place to ask questions, arrange lift shares etc. We ask to be respectful of coaches "out of hours time" in this group and any queries to coaches be appropriately followed up via email - not on WhatsApp.

You can join your team WhatsApp group by scanning the QR code or clicking the QR code if reading on mobile. Please only do this after accepting your team place.

Royal Family Facebook Group
You can request to join the whole club Facebook group here. Documents, news and information is posted there and it’s a great place to ask questions.
